What Will You Do:
Conduct pipeline steady state hydraulic modelling and analysis for optimizing operating pipeline assets in the Enbridge LP system. This includes optimizing for capacity, flow, temperature, pressure, and/or operating costs.
Offer technical expertise and support to internal collaborator groups on hydraulic modelling, pipeline capacity, thermals, and power/DRA cost optimizations
Support Pipeline Integrity and Control Centre Engineering groups with the Integrity-Driven Point Pressure Restrictions (PPRs) process, and with hoc analyses requests for mitigating capacity impacts during planned maintenance events
Support proposed projects or initiatives related to assigned pipeline assets
Maintain accurate operational hydraulic models for assigned pipeline assets
Seek, propose, and implement improvements/updates to Capacity Management processes and tools
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university or college.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada. Applicants with an in-progress P.Eng. application will be considered.
4 or more years of relevant experience.
Understanding of liquid pipeline systems including steady state and thermal hydraulic expertise, control centre operations, and power costs as related to system operation would be considered an asset.
Experience with hydraulic modelling software and other data analytics tools/methods would be considered an asset (ex. EBSS, Emerson Pipeline Optimizer, Excel, OSIsoft PI Vision, SEEQ, Power BI, Python).
Effective communication, planning/organization, and problem-solving skills.
Analytical, detail oriented, customer service approach, learning & growth mentality, and a proven track record to take the lead in identifying innovative solutions.
A demonstrated capability to seek, suggest, and implement improvements to current processes.
Working Conditions:
Office based role
Under 5% of travel to other Enbridge office and field locations.
