In this role, you will lead the development, implementation of strategic technical solutions and maintenance of integrity of the pipeline system through efficient planning, implementation, and management of integrity repair programs and pipeline pressure restrictions. What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for applying fit for purpose project management practices to ensure the annual integrity repair programs (~$100MM) are executed according to approved scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Define work scope for potential mitigation programs, including delivery of work packages to the project execution group for implementation.

  • Review and assess site screening analysis to identify and resolve potential execution risks impacting pipeline throughput, operation, safety, and compliance.

  • Identify and implement program optimization opportunities through value engineering and drive execution efficiency focusing on scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Lead strategic improvements to ensure pipeline integrity threats are effectively managed through application of pressure restrictions and/or repair programs.

  • Complete technical review and timely issuance of integrity mitigation programs through collaboration and coordination with key partners inside and outside of Pipeline Integrity.

  • Review pressure restriction requirements and associated technical study results and determine fit for purpose solution by applying a strategic thinking ensuring pipeline safety and business requirements are aligned.

  • Ensure completion of field assessment and repair programs in accordance with approved NDE scope of work and quality requirements. Working knowledge of the technical requirements associated with various integrity threat types and assessment methodologies will be required.

  • Lead the design and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement on mitigation program planning, execution, and risk management.

  • Review and validation of pipeline assessment data collected by pipeline integrity assessment including Non-Destructive Examination (NDE).

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA.

  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience.

  • Self-motivated, independent, innovative with a strong work ethic and initiative.

  • Effective interpersonal skills that include written and verbal communication skills and project management.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • 1-2 trips required per quarter. On-call required averaging one week every month.
