Mechanic - Winnipeg

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5I or Class 5 Full driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
  • No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record (DWI/DUI) in past 5 years
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Provincial Licensed Automotive Technician Certificate (Class "A", Gold Seal, or Red Seal accreditation).
  • Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repair responsibilities.

  • Significant knowledge of automobile and light truck parts mechanical service and repair procedures.
  • A minimum of basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Requires ability to perform manual labor (i.e., bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, walking, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to lift 25 kilograms.
  • Must be proficient in English, written and verbal comprehension.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekend shifts. 
  • Perform all duties of an Automotive Mechanic by maintaining and following standards and procedures set by the Company.
  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.
  • Perform infleet servicing on new vehicles and on buyback vehicles according to procedures as required.
  • Neatly, precisely, and accurately complete all forms and documents required.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues.
  • Positively represent the Company to all vendors and the general public.
  • Ensures the security of company assets.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Immediately reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions to the lead agent and/or manager.
