Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :
$134,505 - $181,979Senior-level capital investment expertise requiredBuild relationships and partnerships in the industry to increase investment and support for innovative, growing businesses.
You’ll lead the sourcing and development of the capital investment pipeline, build networks in the industry and participate in fund governance. Using your extensive knowledge of capital investment, you’ll also lead the development of policies and practices consistent with industry best practices.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with internal and external partners and senior leaders in executing the FCC Capital Investments strategy
Provide strategic recommendations on strategy, frameworks, policies, metrics and best practices for the venture capital program
Recommend investment and partnership opportunities
Direct and perform due diligence
Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, industry partners, investors and other stakeholders
Develop and provide effective reporting, forecasting, analytics and monitoring of program outcomes and financial results

What you’ll need:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business or commerce and at least 15 years of related leadership experience supplemented by a CPA, CFA or MBA designation (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Extensive knowledge of venture capital investments and fund design
Ability to develop successful teams and foster strong relationships
Understanding of Canadian agriculture and agri-food or venture capital and related regulations and best practices
