$103,331 - $139,803

Relationship-building expertise rewarded:
Develop strategic partnerships that will enhance FCC’s ability to serve Canada’s agriculture producers, agribusiness operators and agri-food entrepreneurs.

This position is designated bilingual (English and French), and the successful candidate must be able to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and manage relationships with influencers in the agriculture industry and key government departments
  • Contribute sector-specific and industry information in support of the corporate strategic planning process
  • Lead the FCC visitation program for members of parliament
  • Coach and mentor colleagues on building relationships within the industry and government

What we're looking for:

  • Strong communicator comfortable interacting with audiences at all levels of partner organizations
  • Experienced networker passionate about connecting people in agriculture with government stakeholders for the mutual benefit of moving the industry forward
  • Strategic thinker who can translate observations into insights and forward-looking recommendations

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in agricultural finance, business or commerce and at least five years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience); extensive agricultural industry knowledge supplemented by knowledge of FCC’s lending and non-lending products and services is an asset
  • Expertise in stakeholder relations, analysis of the agriculture industry, and the processes and policies of government and parliament
  • Intuitive understanding of political factors, key issues, risks and opportunities in the agriculture industry
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels of a wide variety of organizations and associations, including government
