Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :
$90,710 - $122,726Financing expertise and Indigenous business knowledge neededBring your agriculture and commercial lending skills, credit knowledge, and business development expertise to FCC in a culture built on trust and support. You’ll ensure affordable capital is available and that targeted investments are made by FCC and its partners in support of Indigenous agriculture and food.
As an Indigenous Relations Financial Specialist, you’ll work with leaders, teams and stakeholders to create access to capital for Indigenous and under--served groups. With your strong collaboration skills, you’ll work closely with lending teams to establish and execute business plans to achieve lending targets and align lending with FCC’s Indigenous Relations strategy and Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan.
What you’ll do:
- Work with operations, head office staff, and internal and external stakeholders to build Indigenous financing, increasing access to capital for Indigenous and under--served groups
- Conduct research and provide insights to support key programs and initiatives
- Build consistent approaches, policies, processes and practices
- Participate in all access-to-capital undertakings for Indigenous and under--served groups
- Recommend and develop incentives and programs that will drive the Indigenous Relations strategy forward

What you’ll need:
- Agriculture and commercial financing knowledge, including lending practices, theories and trends
- Knowledge of lending in the Indigenous marketplace, including understanding the needs and challenges faced by Indigenous and under--served groups in accessing capital
- Experience in Indigenous Relations strategies
- Understanding of corporate structures
- Experience in conducting quantitative and secondary research
