I'm looking for an Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist for my law firm client in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode after 1 month.

Your responsibilities:

 Analyze and evaluate accounts receivable files and follow up on the monthly
monthly follow-up of accounts age report;
 Recommend and plan actions to be taken to collect receivables;
 Generate and send monthly statements and reminders to customers;
 Communicate with customers and set up fee settlements;
 Negotiate with customers to establish payment plans, if necessary;
 Effectively communicate and follow up with customers and attorneys
account issues;
 Provide financial reports and analysis of accounts receivable to management
management and the firm's lawyers, as well as any data required for decision-making
and make recommendations;
 Evaluate and recommend provisions for bad debts;
 Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as average payment time, outstanding
and suggest actions to improve efficiency;
 Identify and implement practices to optimize the collection process
management process;
 Participate in the annual audit process;
 Respond to customer queries;
 Participate in various Finance team projects;
 Any other related tasks.

Experience and knowledge required :

 Hold a college diploma in administrative techniques / accounting
or equivalent;
 A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in account collection, ideally in a professional
professional services environment;
 Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English (for clients outside the Province of Quebec);
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite including advanced knowledge of Excel.
