Today, we're helping a successful Quebec-based SME, which is continuing to expand in Canada, to recruit its new Finance Director.
You will be responsible for ensuring the company's profitability and solvency, while anticipating development strategies as well as financing and investment needs.
Your responsibilities :
- Accounting and Finance
- Produce financial statements, ensuring their conformity and reliability, as well as all financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
- Oversee the year-end process (closing and inventory counts) and coordinate audits with the auditors.
- Implement regular financial controls.
- Ensure the accounting of associated companies.
- Draw up and monitor budgets and manage cash flow.
- Maintain the company's solvency, i.e. its ability to repay its debts.
- Anticipate the company's financial needs in collaboration with the various internal functions.
- Optimize financing and management of capital sources.
- Establish and monitor currency management strategy (forecasting needs and hedging).
- Identify and manage financial risks.
- Issue recommendations to management.
- Propose suggestions/recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, optimize project profitability, establish product costing and define customer pricing strategies.
- Information technology management
- Identify and prioritize IT projects.
- Coordinate IT infrastructures.
- Provide in-house and workshop/boutique IT support.
- Oversee and pursue SAP implementation.
Your profile:
- CPA designation required.
- Relevant experience in a similar position.
- Experience with SAP (a major asset).
- Oral and written bilingualism (French/English) (an asset) (English is required to communicate with sales representatives in other Canadian provinces).
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite.
