Your Responsibilities:
- Actively collaborate with the controller to define and strengthen the company’s internal control environment.
- Participate in the implementation of internal controls, documentation, and process flows.
- Perform detailed reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements to ensure their accuracy.
- Periodically analyze assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring data consistency and developing action plans to address discrepancies.
- Conduct month-end closing of assigned accounts in compliance with deadlines and accounting standards.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (IFRS) and internal controls (SOX) by implementing best practices.
- Manage fixed assets, work-in-progress, loans, and other assets effectively.
- Produce and analyze relevant financial information for reports to the headquarters’ accounting coordinators.
- Create and maintain detailed office procedures to standardize accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Assist the accounting coordinator in preparing reports for headquarters by providing accurate and up-to-date data.
What We’re Looking For:
- University degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance or accounting, or any other relevant experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- CPA designation (an asset).
- Experience in the manufacturing sector (an asset).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, SOX, and office tools.
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in an accounting firm (an asset).
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation.
