I am Romane, Recruitment and Business Development Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for Finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.

I am looking for a financial controller for my client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode with 2 days in the office in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Main responsibilities and tasks of the position
 Prepare the end of month file for companies (reconciliations and analyses)
 Monitor bank accounts and loans
 Produce various analysis reports
 Update weekly financial dashboards
 Monitor cash flows (accounts receivable and payable)
 Supervise the preparation of payroll and management of employee files
 Prepare periodic government declarations and remittances (DAS, GST/TVQ, T4/R1 etc.)
 Knowledge of American sales taxes (an asset)
 Prepare and record end-of-month entries
 Manage customer credit and monitor receipts of all customer accounts
 Prepare monthly and annual financial statements by carrying out account reconciliations
 Review the TECs of current projects
 Participate in taking inventories and analyze discrepancies
 Participate in the end of year processes for our 3 companies
 Participate in the implementation of a new ERP accounting system (Winter 2025)
 Participate in the budget process

 Obtaining the CPA title
 Undergraduate university degree (accounting)
 Minimum experience of 3-5 years
 Payroll management experience (an asset)
 Mastery of the Office suite (mainly Excel)
 Experience in the construction industry (an asset)
 Good knowledge of the accounting cycle and payroll processing
 Demonstrate respect for confidentiality rules
 Has knowledge of accounting software (SAGE an asset)
 Has excellent organizational skills
 Has good analytical skills and works rigorously
 Excellent communication skills and good team spirit
