My name is Romane, a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance recruitment. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll positions.

I am looking for a payroll technician for my client in the manufacturing sector for a 3-month contract. This is a position in Brossard with only two days a week in the office.

Your role will be as follows:
* Participation in the complete payroll processing cycle (weekly);
* Collaboration in the administration of benefits;
* Validation and entry of payroll and benefits data into the systems;
* Production of electronic employment records;
* Production of remittances to various organizations;
* Development and production of reports for internal and external users;
* Participation in year-end preparation and quarterly audits;
* Contact person for HR collaborators at the various Canadian sites for questions relating to payroll and
* benefits;
* Participation in maintaining payroll compliance in both practices and systems (UKG).

Profile:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in both unionized and non-unionized environments;
* DEC in administration, accounting or human resources (a combination of education and/or relevant experience will be considered) / ACP certification is a plus;
* Experience with the UKG system (ideally);
* Good command of French and English (answers to payroll questions in both languages);
* Knowledge of labor laws and standards, tax treatment and government requirements related to payroll.
