I'm Caroline, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a payroll technician for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent hybrid position.
Alternate with colleague to process payroll for different groups/platforms;
Document procedures in order to optimize them and facilitate replacements;
Participate in the implementation of new modules to the HR/payroll system;
Record payroll for all employees in the general ledger;
Make remittances (deductions at source) for all employees;
Enroll employees in pension plans and group insurance plans;
Manage insurance waiver requests and disability files for certain members;
Manage vacation provisions;
Prepare monthly statistics as required;
Create reports (in our various systems) at the request of internal clients;
Perform various analyses for provisions and bonus payments;
Calculate the 1% of payroll for training investments;
Participate in the preparation of the annual financial statement audit file;
Produce T4 and R1 reports for all employees;
Be available to answer user questions.
Continue to improve the new UKG system in place, with a view to rolling it out even more efficiently to another site in the near future.
DEC in administration, accounting option;
3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
English (functional);
Organizational skills;
Meticulous, autonomous, initiative;
Customer service oriented;
Analytical skills;
Excellent command of office automation tools (Office Suite);
Good management of priorities while respecting deadlines;
Ability to work in a team and to communicate;
Focus on business process improvement;
Knowledge of one of the two systems (UKG and/or Employer D);
Asset: Member of the National Payroll Institute.
