Hi, I'm Christina, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant with Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in finance and accounting. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.

I'm looking for a Senior Accountant for my client located downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode, 3 days remote and 2 days on-site.

Your Responsabilities:
- Prepare month-end (income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow) for two companies
- Maintain financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Coordinate the work of an external bookkeeper
- Reconcile accounts and analyze monthly variances
- Participate in daily operational activities (reviewing invoices for applicable sales taxes (USA, EU VAT), cash application, accounts receivable follow-up and collections)
- Prepare the US sales tax remittances by state and record COGS invoices
- Adjust monthly journal entries for intercompany invoicing and deferred revenue.
- Contribute to the implementation of an ERP
- Manage special projects (analyzing and interpreting financial data)
- Participate in the implementation of financial policies and procedures

Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience ideally in a multi-currency, multi-company setting
- CPA designation (an asset)
- Proficient in Sage 50 or other accounting software
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, using macros and Access (an asset)
- Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Bilingual (French and English) comfortable interacting in English with clients and stakeholders in an international setting
