I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in Montreal and Montérégie. Our team of IT experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure.
I'm looking for a senior computer technician for one of our customers, located in Montreal West. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode. Hourly salary to be discussed, depending on experience - on a 40h/week basis. This position is on a fixed-term contract for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent status depending on performance and business needs.
Your responsibilities will include :
* Maintain and manage IT systems, including servers, networks and workstations
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems encountered by users
* Manage incidents and level 2 and 3 support requests, in collaboration with the support team
* Install, configure and update hardware and software
* Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations, new software deployments, etc.
* Ensure the security of IT systems, including management of firewalls, antivirus and other security solutions
* Document technical procedures and configurations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge bases
* Train and mentor junior technicians on the team
* Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and propose appropriate solutions
* Maintain a technology watch to recommend improvements to existing systems
* Degree in computer science
* At least 5 years' professional experience as an IT technician or in a similar position
* Proficiency in Windows, Linux and/or MacOS environments - knowledge of AD, Office 365
* Solid network administration skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
* Experience in server management (physical and virtual) and storage systems
* Proven competence in IT security and risk management
* Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems
* Good communication skills, both written and oral
* Ability to work independently and manage several tasks simultaneously
* Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) is an asset
