I'm looking for a Purchasing Manager for one of my clients operating in the manufacturing sector. Based in Laval, this key position involves strategic purchasing management to ensure optimal sourcing of raw materials and supplies while respecting cost and lead-time constraints.

Reporting to the VP, your responsibilities include:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality and lead times.
Select, negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they meet quality and delivery standards.
Analyze raw material and supply requirements for the various production departments.
Manage the purchasing budget, monitor costs and seek opportunities for savings, while guaranteeing the availability of resources.
Ensure efficient inventory management to avoid stock-outs while optimizing storage costs.
Work closely with production, logistics and finance departments to ensure smooth coordination of procurement activities.
Monitor market and price trends to adjust purchasing strategies in line with economic developments.
Supervise a small team of buyers, ensure their development and monitor the performance of the purchasing department.
Set up key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve purchasing efficiency.
Degree in purchasing management, operations management or related field.
Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in purchasing management, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
Solid experience in negotiation, supplier management and inventory management.
In-depth knowledge of ERP tools and purchasing management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
Leadership, autonomy and initiative.
