"Our client a 3PL company located in Mississauga is looking for a Warehouse Team Lead to join their team."

Responsibilities Include:

Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products in a fast paced environment..
  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and effective manner.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required.
  • Communicate job expectations and provide direction to warehouse staff.
  • Supervise, train and disciple up to 8 to 10 warehouse staff on proper safety measures.as needed.
  • Manage inventory through (WMS) for inventory tracking and order management.
  • Work with a diverse team to streamline warehouse procedures, recommend improvements and increase productivity.
  • Ensure that company policies, protocols, and regulatory standards are adhered to.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and repair equipment as needed
  • Ensure and maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Operate Forklift's, Reach Trucks and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Effectively communicate with external customers and drivers as needed.

Requested skills

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 4-5 years prior experience in warehouse supervisory, or a similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a distribution or 3PL environment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required. 
  • Previous experience working with warehouse management systems. 
  • Valid certification and 3 years experience operating forklift, reach truck, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills..
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • CSA safety shoes and safety vest required.
