The Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations while coordinating activities across all assigned departments. This role is vital in fostering a collaborative environment where all team members can thrive.

Manage daily operations by coordinating activities across all assigned departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

Coach, train, and develop employees, providing constructive feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.

Evaluate employee performance with a focus on growth and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Achieve key metrics related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environmental standards, while meeting budget goals.

Actively contributes to building a workplace culture of employee engagement.

Actively leads the organization ensuring there is an effective safety culture in place.
What You Will Do:
-
Lead by teaching and promoting GMS operating requirements, serving as the principal lead for regional GMS activities to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
-
Maintain corporate and unit management control systems, budgets, and other essential information to monitor and enhance performance.
-
Assist in forecasting for areas of responsibility, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning.
-
Collaborate closely with various departments, both within and outside of the manufacturing team, to promote a unified approach and achieve shared goals.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Experience as a Manufacturing People Leader is also essential.

Mandatory skills for this position include people leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication
-
Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures while upholding GM’s vision, values, and cultural behaviors
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Master's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Multi-Company and/or Multi-Plant Experience
