Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or higher and a member in good standing with the College of Teachers
Have training and / or experience at the Primary level, and demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional growth
Provide a child focused approach utilizing current methodology and strategies
Knowledge of and commitment to current directions in educational practices
Proven interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a collaborative manner with staff, students, and parents in a small school setting
Must be highly motivated and be able to work with children in a positive and consistent manner
Preferably to have experience at implementing DIBELS, Read Well, Saxon Math.
Classroom instruction based on the current curriculum.
A willingness and ability to adapt and to develop curriculum to address the needs of individual students
Willingness to integrate appropriate technologies into instructional practices in order to improve learning outcomes
Willingness to provide extra-curricular activities to the school community
Knowledge and understanding of local First Nations cultural and issues, as well as learn and implement the First Language of the community
Attendance at staff meetings, professional development activities and school-based team meetings are integral elements of assignments
