In this exciting hybrid opportunity located at our head office in Vaughan, Ontario, you are responsible for the development, performance, measurement, and reporting of the sales compensation program, and all sales compensation related activities.  This role is instrumental in the achievement of sales and profitability targets for all lines of business by delivering detailed sales performance analytics, forecasting, and business intelligence to Sales and Corporate leadership teams.

What sets you apart:

  • Degree in Business or Finance/Accounting.
  • CPA designation in good standing or final level CPA is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in full cycle Sales Compensation forecasting, target setting and analysis, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Proficient English communication skills both written, verbal & presentation skills.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and strong technical aptitude with the ability to formulate benchmarking and modelling.
  • Problem solver & critical thinker; you are logical with a strong business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of AS400 ERP systems (front end and back end) and Power BI an asset.
  • Able to take initiative and drive process improvements.
  • Team player who contributes to the success of the department.
  • Curious approach that drives ability to root cause solution issues.
  • Able to build relationships with various internal stakeholders.
  • Active listener with ability to communicate financial information to non-financial business partners.

 

Once you are in the role, you'll: 

  • Own the incentive compensation process, system and reporting.  Manage the workflow to calculate commission payouts, load, balance and reconcile incentive compensation. (40%)
    • Partner with Sales Leadership to drive the business strategy and evaluate the impact of compensation plan changes
    • Monitor incentive compensation monthly to ensure that anomalies are highlighted and actioned as required (including investigations) assessing opportunities and risks
    • Provide analytics to the sales leaders and management to explain anomalies, provide recommendations to the Senior leaders regarding changes to incentive compensation and manage these through the system   

 

  • Use historical data and trends to develop quota targets by sales rep and period.  Work collaboratively with Finance to update forecast and targets    (40%)
    • Work with Sales leadership, Finance, and Pricing to complete sensitivity analysis on targets. 
    • Ensure Quota targets, and sales employee data are accurately reflected in the ERP, Power BI, CRM and other reporting tools.    

 

  • Continuously work to improve processes and develop new tools, reports and dashboards to help increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales team (10%)
    • Act as a liaison between IT and sales for any reporting changes or enhancements made to existing systems, identifying the gap, recommending solutions and UAT (user acceptance testing) of the deliverable, and provide training as required. 

 

  • Manage the workflow to calculate commissions achieved (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) for the various LOB programs and subsequent payments. (10%)
    • Support the annual budgeting process for program costs
