RESPONSIBILITIES

The expert in automation and robotics guides, contributes and participates in the development of the cells of our production plants. Whether through his analytical skills and his desire to succeed together, he will work to develop the vision of automation within the Mi Integration group by integrating the various technologies available such as: artificial vision, robotics, artificial intelligence, etc.

  • Leadership in Cost Analysis and Bidding: Lead cost analysis and proposal development for projects in submission.
  • Feasibility Analyses: Perform Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) analyses to assess risks and ensure the reliability of solutions.
  • Definition of technical requirements: Establish specifications and specifications for automated cells, taking into account operational and financial needs.
  • Participation in the design and conception of robotic solutions: Contribute to design reviews of automated cells to ensure their compliance with requirements and standards. Develop innovative robotic operational vision concepts that meet financial objectives and production needs.
  • Deployment of automation standards: Implement and promote automation standards and best practices in the company's various plants. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) in place.
  • Operational support and continuous optimization: Accompany plants in the start-up and deployment of new automation projects, acting as technical support. Identify opportunities to improve automated systems and processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall performance.
  • Supervision of external suppliers: Manage relationships with external suppliers, supervising their work and acting as a technical referent.

  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (Engineer, CPI or registered to be a CPI)
  • Experience in Robot, PLC and computer vision programming.
  • Experience in automation project management.
  • Valid passport (occasional trip to our factories in Mexico)
  • Ease of working according to ISO and/or IATF standards
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of machine, robotic and electrical safety certification standards
  • Office 365 Suite CAD
