Position Details:
Location: Catholic Education Centre
Effective Date: Immediately
Salary: $74,943 - $84,331 per annum
There is a full time (12 months per year), thirty-seven and one half (37 ½) hours per week, position with duties effective immediately.
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Education, Curriculum Services, the position is to convene the organization of all Elementary and Secondary Interschool Athletic activities and events within the Halton Catholic Athletic Association.
Qualifications / Experience:
A post-secondary education in Sports Administration, Recreation and Leisure Studies or a comparable program.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience of work experience in program development and planning of sports programs. A background in Athletics in an educational setting would be a definite asset.
Working knowledge of Risk Management is desirable.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities and competent knowledge related to the use of technology.
Ability to manage priorities and tasks within a collaborative environment while working in partnership with the HCDSB staff, coaches, community partners, referee associations, City Officials and Media.
Knowledge specific to the HCDSB and athletic needs of the Halton Region would also be a definite asset.
Other duties as assigned.
