Reporting to the Director, Professional Practice and Chief Practice Information Officer, the Manager, Interprofessional Practice will work collaboratively and in partnership with programs, departments and members of all interprofessional designations to support the strategic priorities of Halton Healthcare and the Office of Professional Practice. A focus on quality patient care outcomes through assessment, educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation processes is key. Your goal will be to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of the nursing and allied health teams.
The Manager, Interprofessional Practice manages a team of corporate Professional Practice Clinicians and provides oversight and support for clinical student placements, interprofessional and nursing orientation, clinical documentation, medication safety, clinical emergency codes, product and equipment evaluations, along with many clinical, best practice and emerging evidence-based initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a liaison with partner hospitals and external organizations, such as professional regulatory colleges and educational institutions; participate in and/or lead committees and initiatives, including partnerships with other organizations. Additionally, you’ll provide oversight for government supported programs such as the New Graduate Guarantee, Clinical Scholar and Internationally Educated Nurse Programs
In collaboration with the Director, Professional Practice and Chief Practice Information Officer, you will work with appropriate Regulatory bodies regarding investigations and practice concerns. You will actively participate in patient safety initiatives and take action to address unsafe conditions and procedures, ensuring a healthy and safe environment.

- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Current registration with a healthcare regulatory college, nursing would be an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a leadership role in a similar hospital environment and/or 5 years’ experience in professional practice
- Demonstrated experience in interprofessional practice and collaboration in a clinical setting.
- Experience with quality improvement processes and evidence-based care models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, with individuals and groups effectively
- Innovative, creative and professional role model
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize/organize multiple demands and meet strict deadlines
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $56.360 to $70.462 per hour
