BI Reporting Specialist

The BI Reporting Specialist helps design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards that integrate data from multiple sources and bring out the most useful results for end users. Responsible for the complete range of BI capabilities: reporting, analysis, scorecarding, and dashboards.

1. University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing application development in an IT or software development organization, healthcare application experience is preferred
3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and later, including Reporting Services. Microsoft Analysis Services and Integration Services knowledge is preferred
4. Strong working knowledge in creating standardized and ad hoc reports and dashboards, healthcare experience is preferred.
5. Working knowledge of at least four of the following technologies: Visual Studio 2008/2010 (C#), ASP.NET, XML, Powershell, MSBuild, TFS, Sharepoint.
6. Good understanding of system environment of Windows Server 2003/2008 and IIS, SAN, personal computers and web applications.
7. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in outcome measurement, data analysis, data security, data integrity, generating reports from data and program evaluation.
8. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, mathematical and organizational skills
9. Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines.
10. Ability to balance creativity with pragmatism, concepts with practical applications
11. Remain current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility
12. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and commitment to quality customer service
13. Demonstrated high level of initiative and self-directive and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
14. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to teach education sessions throughout HHS when necessary
