Description
As a member of the Audiology team, the Business Clerk provides clerical and scheduling, administrative or business support to patients, families and those providing service and/or care, including physicians. Additional responsibilities may involve support to our intake/registration office, reception area and ordering/purchasing as required. Functions according to the job description for Business Clerks.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday – Friday days (8:00 - 4:00)
2. Graduate of community college secretarial or office administration program
3. Proven efficiency in using Meditech, Community Wide Scheduling, MS Word, MS Excel.
4. Keyboarding minimum of 40 wpm
5. Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, speak, write) in French
6. Demonstrated excellence in telephone communication skills in a fast paced clinic environment
7. Mathematical skills related to clinic statistics, payroll and scheduling
8. Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, public relations and problem-solving skills
9. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work accordingly
10. Demonstrated ability to deal with various hospital departments effectively and collaboratively
11. Demonstrated ability to appreciate the confidential nature of the position
12. Ability to sit for long periods, repetitive reaching, repetitive bending
13. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
14. Experience with MS Access, MS Outlook, Sovera, will be considered an asset.
