Description:
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is located in Hamilton, Ontario approximately one hour west of Toronto, Ontario. The Board has 49 elementary and 7 secondary schools in both urban and rural settings. Our Psychological Services Staff work on multidisciplinary teams with School Personnel, Central Resource Teachers, Child and Youth Workers, Social Workers, and Speech-Language Pathologists, providing a range of services including psychoeducational assessments, consultations, in-service education, and program planning. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate will also report to the Chief Psychologist of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board for other duties as assigned pertaining to the role of Psychometrist.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be Registered with or eligible to be Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Extensive experience independently conducting and scoring psycho-educational assessments as well as explaining psycho-educational assessment data to parents and/or school staff.
Having a solid background in Autism Spectrum Disorders, child and adolescent emotional-social development and mental health, developmental disabilities and learning disabilities.
Experience working in a school system or a clinical pediatric setting.
Consistent use of a vehicle is a requirement. Therefore, MUST HAVE valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.
