Job Description: The Board Coordinator is directly accountable to the Executive Coordinator to the CEO of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and is responsible for ensuring that efficient administrative processes are in place to support and co-ordinate the functions of the governing body of the SHA. This includes the provision of administrative support to the Board of Directors of the SHA through accurate, timely and efficient execution of support. The Board Coordinator may also assist with the provision of administrative support for the other members of the CEO, COO and Executive Leadership Team. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and co-operative manner, with all members of the support team, including the CEO, COO and Executive Leadership Team, to assist in accomplishing the provincial health authority’s objectives.

Experience:
- Minimum three years of experience directly supporting a Board of Directors
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant role
Education:
- Completion of Grade XII supplemented by a recognized business course
Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license

Knowledge & Abilities:
- Expert written and verbal communication skills including excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness

- Knowledge and experience in minute taking and synthesizing information
- Excellent computer skills, with a good working knowledge of various programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Schedule Plus, Visio, Intranet/Internet, and the capability to learn new programs as required.
- Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure
- Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships through respectful and professional interactions.
- Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge of the organization, including its governance and organizational structure and relationships.
- Be self-directed, and confident in applying independent judgment.

- Flexibility in working hours is essential to attend meetings outside of regular working hours.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in planning, organizing, and executing events of various scales, ensuring all logistical elements are managed effectively.
- Expertise in arranging meeting spaces, coordinating with vendors and venues, and managing on-site meeting logistics for seamless execution.
