Job Description:
The Saskatoon Convalescent Home (HOME) is a vibrant 60 Resident long-term care facility with an active Community Day Program in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is a safe, warm and welcoming place where Residents along with their families and friends are active partners in planning and participating in their daily lives. We’ve taken Resident “Centred” Care one step further to Resident and Family “Driven” Care. We are committed not only to “quality of care” that is appropriate and acceptable, but to “quality of life” that we recognize may be unique to each individual. We also have a unique approach for caring for individuals through our Namaste program.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible to the HOME’s Board of Directors for its overall operation, effectively using all available resources - people, financial and community and for working collaboratively with all stakeholders and partners to deliver care that is both appropriate and acceptable.
The CEO will plan, organize, lead, and evaluate all aspects of the HOME’s operations in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors. In leading the organization towards fulfillment of its Mission, the CEO will be guided by the HOME’s Vision, Values and Strategic Directions.

Experience
- Five (5) years experience in management/administration/supervision
- 10+ years experience in healthcare leadership/management/administration
Education
- Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration
- Eden Alternative Associate certificate
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Nursing
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a healthcare or management related discipline
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
