Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the EMTP/ACP Coordinator integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the SHA Community Paramedicine Care Model and principles of adult learning. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator will provide visible, proactive leadership and education, while promoting the delivery of patient-centered care through education, programming, and by assessing the learning needs of staff. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator will participate and or lead Community Paramedicine program planning, implementation, coordination, instruction, facilitation and evaluation of programming, education and project work. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Community Paramedicine Department, EMS and stakeholders to develop, deliver, and evaluate programming throughout SHA. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator is expected to assist and participate in the development of the vision and strategic plan for the program in alignment within the SHA values and strategic direction.

Experience

  • Experience in adult education
  • Minimum 2 years of ACP experience which includes program/resource development.

Education

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Community Paramedicine designation is an asset.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, scheduling & training platforms

  • Integrate clinical knowledge to group activities to enhance clinical practice
