Job Description:
As Executive Director, your business leadership, healthcare experience, and public relations skills will be instrumental in managing operations, overseeing programs and facilitating membership growth in Saskatchewan. Explore this exceptional work-at-home opportunity with a reputable newly formed Association of Professional Nurses of Saskatchewan (APNS)- an opportunity to lead, advocate and promote your profession!
Responsibilities include:
- Leadership, Strategic Planning and Financial
a) Provide strategic leadership, build confidence and trust with the Board, stakeholders, and members to lead and carry out the Association’s vision, mission and values.
b) Manage the financial and office operations. Oversee special projects, operational systems, processes and policies.
2. Communications, Marketing & Public Relations
a) Demonstrate excellent relationship building, communications and public relations skills. Contribute to building and identifying opportunities that will positively impact the Association and members.
b) Develop initiatives to engage healthcare professionals, increase membership, promote educational opportunities, and establish positive public relations.
c) Create value-add for the Members. Direct/assist in preparing educational and informative seminars/materials and events.
Travel Required: On occasion to attend meetings and events. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required. Mileage will be covered as per SUN rate.

Education
- Nursing Degree/Diploma/Certificate - Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Graduate Nurse, Nursing student or former Licensed or Registered Nurse in Saskatchewan.
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license

Knowledge and Abilities
- Relevant nursing experience. Understands nursing and the issues of the nursing profession.
- 5+ years related experience in a leadership role, preferably with a non-profit organization.
- Business and financial knowledge, experience reporting to/working with a Board is an asset.
