Job Description: Under the direction of the Outpatient Services Manager and working within an interdisciplinary mental health and addiction team, the Community Mental Health Nurse will provide a range of intake assessment, intervention, navigation services and clinical services to all ages with mental health and addiction issues and support to their families. The incumbent will also serve as an important link between Intermediate Care Services and the services provided by the Primary Health Care System and community.

Experience
- 2 years working experience in community mental health and addictions services
Education
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma (DPN)
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable

- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to meet multiple demands, manage complex clinical issues and workload.
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing clinical standards of practice
- Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions
- Ability to document in a concise and timely manner
- Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to formulate evidence based intervention.
- Knowledge in community psychiatric nursing practice
- Knowledge of Health Information Protection Act and other legislation.

- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
- Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK
