Job Description: Under the direction of the manager, the incumbent will provide psychology services to individuals referred through centralized intake as well as internal referrals from other areas of MHAS. The Senior Psychologist may also be asked to support other areas of Adult Mental Health and Addiction Services (Addiction Services, Recovery Services etc). Clinical services will include psychological assessments, psychometric testing, diagnostic services and treatment. The Senior Psychologist works as part of the multidisciplinary team in the context of a range of services to adults who are experiencing significant distress or dysfunction related to mental disorder, trauma, cumulative stress, family related issues and/or problems in daily living. They are responsible for monitoring psychological testing equipment and advising the Manager when additional resources are required to support the provision psychological services in this milieu. The incumbent must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and relevant community stakeholders. They will also provide clinical supervision to MA psychology practicum students and/or PhD psychology residents. The incumbent will provide input into program development, planning and evaluation.

- 2 years experience providing assessments and therapy for infants, children & families
Education
- PhD in Clinical Psychology
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education & Training
- PhD Internship Training from a CPA accredited (or equivalent) residency required

- Knowledge in differential diagnoses to support treatment of children and youth
- Knowledge in psychological assessments/testing with complex children and youth
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective, evidenced-based treatment plans
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Experience in providing psych services to children within an inpatient acute setting
- Experience in planning and assessment of policies and procedures
