Job Description: The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist, supports strategy development and deployment across the SHA and system wide process improvement. They will provide a lead role in the organization and facilitation of key events and processes. The position is required to work collaboratively with leaders, physicians, and staff within the Health Authority and must lead through influence rather than line authority. Reporting to a Director in Acute Care (Regina), the Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the overall coordination, evaluation and performance of Acute Care Urban Strategic Projects. The specialist will demonstrate knowledge and experience with change management, quality improvement (i.e., visual management, Value Stream Mapping) and project management. This role must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations. This Specialist role is required to develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)

Other Education and Training

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in First Nation and Metis history in Saskatchewan
  • Knowledge in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
  • Knowledge in the Saskatchewan health care system
