Job Description: The Quality and Safety Associate is responsible for performing key functions within the Quality And Safety portfolio. The Associate directly supports the coordination and rigorous documentation, work flow, and information flow of quality and safety education and training including client concern handling and safety incident report tracking and trending. The Associate supports the achievement of organizational goals and implementation of the SHA Management System in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of how we produce quality care in an environment that is safe while linking vision and strategy to daily improvement. The Associate will work collaboratively with patients/clients/residents and their families, leaders, physicians, and staff within the SHA and must lead through influence rather than line authority. The Associate will communicate and engage with colleagues at all levels of the organization to effectively support the development and implementation of strategic, operating and improvement plans. The Associate will communicate and coordinate among diverse, complex operating units to create a culture of safety requiring sensitivity and tact in managing interactions and confidential and public information and data.

Experience
- Experience in leading teams and project management
- Two (2) years experience in an office environment
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in an applicable field
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Lean Certification or LILT preferred
