What to Expect:

The Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A team will support the reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and planning aspects of the Hudson’s Bay omnichannel business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is analytical, results-oriented, and a problem-solver. This role reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A, and supports Supply Chain & Logistics as well as Admin & Consolidation.

What you will do:

  • Own monthly management reporting and provide meaningful information to senior leaders

  • Prepare variance analyses and highlight key performance metrics to deliver actionable insights

  • Contribute to regular forecasting and annual planning processes, by working closely with business partners to identify and quantify risks and opportunities

  • Support month-end close process with accuracy and punctuality

  • Build relationships with cross-functional business partners and become a reliable expert, while influencing strategic decision-making

  • Maintain and improve existing financial models to enable effective analysis

  • Provide data-driven support for ad hoc requests and special projects

What you will bring to the team:

  • Background in finance, accounting, or business-related field

  • 3-5 years of related experience (prior experience in FP&A an asset)

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with great attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Positive team player and resilient self-starter

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Experience with planning software (eg. Oracle Hyperion) preferred
