NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION: BED ALLOCATOR
Primary Site: Stratford
Casual
(Shifts: 6 or 12-hour days/nights, 7-days/week, may be subject to change)

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling, the Bed Allocator will act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties, and being responsible for coordinating room utilization care requirements

REPORTS TO: Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $27.47 to $29.15 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificate

EXPERIENCE:
- Up to six months’ previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
- Previous Meditech experience preferred

ABILITIES:
- Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability for self-direction and to work independently exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision
- Effective time management and organizational skills with an ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative, stewardship, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer focus with demonstrated ability to work well with fellow staff, internal and external customers
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
- Ability to work in an inter-professional environment
- Ability to multi-task while under pressure
