POSITION SUMMARY: Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is currently seeking a results-oriented individual who is highly motivated and demonstrates a management style that is visionary, creative and collaborative for the role of Manager, Nursing Practice. The role will appeal to an experienced individual who is passionate about excellence in nursing practice and education and has a vision for evidence-informed practice as a key strategy for achieving the best possible care in an acute care hospital setting supporting all 4 beautiful hospitals in Clinton, Seaforth, St Marys and Stratford.
The primary responsibility of the Manager Nursing Practice is to lead and manage our nursing professional practice team and to provide optimal leadership in matters of nursing professional practice and education as they relate to nursing practice standards, best practices, education and knowledge translation. This role oversees our Clinical Educators, Clinical Scholars, Clinical Externs and Nurse Practitioner program - and reports directly to the Vice President Partnerships, Transformation and Chief Nursing Executive. The Manager will lead and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable programs and approaches for nursing practice and continuing professional education as well as academic education for nursing students.

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $130, 628.00 per annum
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Completion of a BScN required.
- Completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing and/or Adult Education or other relevant field, preferred.
- Current membership in a related professional interest group preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum seven (7) to ten (10) years clinical experience in nursing
- Well-developed leadership competencies (negotiation, active listening, participative leadership style, ability to inspire others, articulate a vision for enhancing nursing practice, nursing education, delegation, influencing, goal setting, achievement oriented, coaching skills, etc.)
- Experience in a unionized environment an asset
ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing standards, best practices and professional practice
- Demonstrates leadership skills at multiple system levels to advance nursing professional practice and safe, quality patient care
- Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, evaluation and planning and utilization management skills
- Well-developed mutual gain negotiation and conflict management resolution skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to prioritize the competing demands of the position
- Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a diverse platform of technology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, consultation and interpersonal relationships
- Strong presentation, teaching and group facilitation skills
- Computer literate
- High level of initiative and self-direction
- Evidence of continued professional growth and/or professional development
- Experience in a LEAN environment with associated LEAN healthcare education
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and administrative abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects; plan, organize and complete as identified
- Able to effectively and efficiently provide business oriented planning and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop employees during times of change
- Ability to research and implement leading practice, evidence based decision making and quality based programming in order to meet and exceed industry benchmarks and performance metrics
