The Outage Planning department is a key member of Hydo One’s commitment to decarbonizing the grid. If you would like to get meaning work experience with major capital projects ($1B per year), then this 4 to 8 month coop could be for you. Working with our dedicated team of professionals, you will develop plans to deliver major electrical projects from conceptual stages to a completed product that will serve Ontarians for years to come. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter, capable of working independently in assisting our team supporting capital projects. This exciting opportunity will expose you to areas of project planning, practical ACAD usage, stations work environment and travel to various project sites throughout the province. The Outage Planning department provides support in project planning, coordinating construction activities and ensuring a safe work area for personnel.
What you will do for us:

Drafting staging plans.

Gain an understanding in the Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC).

General office duties as required.

Participate in project meetings (some travel may be required).

Selection Criteria:

Valid G class drivers license.

Proficient in MS office suite

Proficient in AutoCAD
-
Able to work in an office environment

Able to travel

Able to work in a field setting

Enrolled in a Electrical Engineering Technology program
