Description
We are looking for a Building Manager to manage residential building(s). Please note this position is a live-in position in Downtown Vancouver.
We are seeking an energetic, personable, and customer service-oriented individual with great coordination skills and hands-on knowledge with the tools and basic repairs. Light maintenance would include light bulb changes, leaky faucet repairs, painting, and cleaning.
This position is primarily to assist the property manager in providing day-to-day care and management of the residential buildings under their care. This role will provide excellent and responsive service to the tenants, manage on-site maintenance, contractors, and cleaners. With minimal guidance and oversight from the property managers, the building manager will ensure the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of all the tenants of the building while maintaining the facilities to highest of standards.
Benefits & Perks:
- $50,000 - $60,000 + a rent subsidy.
- Potentially 2 bed rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the monthly rent process including rent collection, cheque deposits, leasing and application processes.
- Overseeing preventative maintenance and minor repairs of the property, including annual suite inspections, shut downs and start ups, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.
- Managing Vendors and Contractors on-site.
- Responding to tenant complaints and escalated tenant issues in a timely manner, while promoting resident satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizing, planning & decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate good judgment in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, Email and Messaging proficiency).
- Able to respond to emergencies on weekends and outside standard work hours.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload to finish daily/monthly activities & meet deadlines.
