ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As Tax Manager, your primary focus will be geared towards tax compliance and provisions with some exposure to tax planning. You, along with your colleagues, will help maintain a collaborative atmosphere through effective teamwork and bring a positive attitude to the table when working on special projects, independently and as part of a team. The firm have an established tax group and a strong track record of growing their Manager’s to become future Partners with the firm.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As part of the Canadian Tax Group, the following responsibilities can be expected:
• Preparing and reviewing Canadian corporate tax returns predominantly in support of public company clients
• Assist in complex tax planning engagements
• Coordinate tax activities and develop relationships and connections with clients on an ongoing basis
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on tax changes and advise staff and clients as needed
• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members on tax related matters
• Other duties as assigned

THE REQUIREMENTS
• Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
• 5+ years of Canadian tax experience with a strong tax compliance background and knowledge of Canadian tax laws
• Completion of the In-depth tax program is highly desirable
• Experience working with public company clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Work and Excel
• Focused attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION
• Base salary range: $100,000 - $130,000, experience dependent
• Vacation: 4 Weeks
• Extended medical and dental coverage
• Fitness allowance
