Our client is reputable brokerage in Manitoba. They are known for their dedicated team focused on delivering the best solution for customers, grown to multiple offices and about 50 people. They are currently in search of a Commercial Insurance Team Manager to lead business development activities and commercial lines team as a part of senior management.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This Commercial Insurance Team Manager combines strategic business development with effective people management to ensure the growth and efficiency of the commercial lines division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial insurance, proven leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive business expansion and operational excellence.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of commercial lines brokers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the company’s commercial insurance portfolio and increase market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, partnerships, and market analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 2 or 3 Manitoba insurance license
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Commercial Insurance
  • You have mentored or coached junior staffs and provided training
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, make informed decisions, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation is an asset

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary between $85,000 - $95,000 depending on years of relevant experience + annual target bonus + new business commission
