Director, Finance

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Impact recruitment has partnered with an established insurance company in Vancouver that is looking to add a director of finance to their team! The ideal candidate is a designated CPA and has 7+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the President, the director of finance will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Oversee all the financial activities, including financial statements, budgets, cashflow and internal audit function
• Work on month/year/quarter end closes as well as oversee quarterly cashflow and reporting.
• Streamline internal controls and set up all the accounting policies and procedures for the company.
• Project liquidity levels and cash flow for quarterly distribution
• Work in collaboration with external consultants for annual tax filings.
• Oversee and complete finance operations, such as AR/AP, compensation and payroll.
• Lead the budget development and work on financial analysis as needed.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $140,0000 to $160,000
• Discretionary bonus
• Extended health and dental benefits
• 4 weeks vacation

REQUIREMENTS

• Designated CPA
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Insurance experience is an asset
• Must be fluent in Mandarin
