Description
We are hiring a Director, Membership & Sales for an exciting opportunity with our Vancouver client. This role is focused on new member sales, member retention and corporate partnerships. A background in hospitality, experience with a professional sports team or club is desired. Proven sales skills and ability to meet and exceed sales targets is required.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a member only club with strong roots in Vancouver. Members enjoy social functions, facilities, and a variety of amenities, our client provides exceptional services and experiences for their members.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Director, Membership & Sales is responsible for leading the membership team, growing membership numbers, retaining current members and uncovering corporate partners. The Director will lead a small team and is involved in all aspects of the department.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Attending sales and networking events.
Driving membership sales and developing retention strategies.
Partnering with marketing for membership campaigns.
Develops and manages annual budgets and reporting.
Uncovers and build corporate partnerships and relationships.
Drives team sales and development.
Leads membership pricing and services.
Participates in committee meetings and AGM presentations.
Leads on site member tours and facility introductions.
General administration including processing memberships, compliance, applications and membership file management.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Degree in business, hospitality or related field.
5+ years of experience leading and managing a team.
Experience in hospitality, professional sport clubs or members clubs is desired.
Proven ability to sell and build sales.
A sales leader with a history of managing a high performing team that exceeds KPI’s.
Experience building and managing department budgets.
Strong network, experience uncovering and building corporate relationships.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be willing to be flexible with hours, there will be networking and events outside of normal work hours.
COMPENSATION
Annual salary range is $90,000 - $105,000. Benefits include medical and dental. Generous vacation. Additional benefits include health and wellness allowance, personal services - dry cleaning, fitness classes, meals. RSP and discounted parking.
