We are currently partnering with an independent insurance brokerage based in Toronto. With over 100 years in the Canadian marketplace, they are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and value through their bespoke insurance solutions for businesses, individuals and financial services.
Currently, they are seeking a Junior Insurance Specialist to join their Toronto team. You will have the opportunity to act as an ambassador to clients, responding to questions and requests in a professional and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Processing and invoicing new business, renewals, endorsements & cancellations using the company's insurance brokerage database
• Calculating renewal premiums & requesting refund cheques where appropriate
• Answering clients queries by telephone & email
• Issuing certificates of insurance as requested with copies to client & insurer monthly reporting file
• Emailing or posting documents including letters to clients including new policies, certificates, and cancellations
• Filing documents for reporting to underwriters
• Documenting all transactions in online database for accurate and up-to-date records
• Other duties as need and requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
• This is a hybrid role based downtown Toronto; must be able to work in office minimum 2 days per week
• Existing knowledge of insurance products and industry regulations is highly desirable
• RIBO license is required
• Strong ability to learn new software programs including broker management systems
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• $45,000 - $48,000 annual salary
• Health and Dental Benefits
• 3 weeks vacation per year
• RRSP matching up to 3%
