ABOUT THE CLIENT

My client, well-known name within the property management industry is looking for accountants to join their commercial management team! This organization has grown from strength to strength over the last several years and are competing with the larger names within the industry through their award-winning developments and forward-thinking approach that makes them stand out from the rest!

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Controller, the property accountant will be responsible for:

• Assistance with audit preparation
• Quarterly and month end reporting
• Prepare tax remittance and filings for GST/PST and other regulatory bodies with the assurance of accuracy and compliance with governing legislation and regulations
• Complete other related duties as assigned by the manager

• Prepare annual CAM and Tax recovery reconciliations and billings.
• Prepare year-end working papers, budgets, expense reports and track capital expenditures
• Review and enter new leases
• Review AP/AR invoices and update the property recovery matrix

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of property accounting experience.
• Commercial Property accounting experience is considered an asset
• Experience working with Yardi or Sage 300 is an asset

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 + Bonus
• 3 weeks’ vacation
• Extended health and dental
• RRSP matching
