We are hiring a Receptionist for our busy insurance client based in Burnaby. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll answer calls, handle general administration and join a great organization known for its employee focused culture.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is one of the leading family-owned insurance brokerages providing insurance and risk management programs for Small, Medium, and Large enterprises. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, they have a strong reputation and history of advocating for their clients.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Receptionist will be responsible for answering a high-volume switchboard and providing administrative support for a busy insurance office. The Receptionist must be committed to providing exceptional customer service and be able to manage a busy switchboard. Additional responsibilities include couriers, ordering office supplies, managing mail and general projects as required.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reception, answering a busy switchboard.
Mail and couriers.
Ordering office supplies.
Ensuring break areas are stocked and clean.
Updates employee vacation tracking.
General admin duties as assigned.

THE REQUIREMENTS

1+ year of reception experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be committed to providing excellent customer service.
Prior experience in the insurance industry is desired, but not required.
Flexibility with schedule.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Prior experience working in a professional office environment is desired.
Strong organizational skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary $50,000. Employer covered benefits. 3 weeks vacation to start. RSP, parking, employee engagement events and other perks - concerts, sporting events.
