Position Summary
Interior Health is hiring a term-specific full-time Business Partner, Employee Experience who is passionate about making a difference in healthcare. The end date of this position is approximately April 24, 2026, or return of incumbent.
Location: This position is flexible within the British Columbia Region

Salary range for the position is $88,990 to $127,923. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you create an impact:
The Business Partner, Employee Experience, plays a pivotal role in advancing the employee experience across Interior Health. Modeling a continuous improvement approach, the Business Partner develops and implements innovative strategies and initiatives that enhance the employee lifecycle. Key areas of focus include, but not limited to, recognition, appreciation, continuous listening, and employee experience measurement. This role is instrumental in driving ongoing enhancements that contribute to a positive and inclusive employee experience and supports the positioning of Interior Health as an employer of choice.
Collaborating closely with leaders and staff across the organization, the Business Partner fosters an employee-centered, high-performance culture that promotes empowerment, productivity, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. Through the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, the Business Partner gains insights into employees' perspectives on workplace culture, inclusion, levels of engagement, and sense of safety to enable a data-informed approach, establishing both strategic and effective employee experience efforts.
In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to your manager or supervisor immediately.
What will you work on:
• Develops and implements comprehensive recognition programs that celebrate employee achievements and milestones.
• Collaborates with department leaders to support integration of recognition initiatives into everyday practices.
• Promotes a culture of appreciation by designing and facilitating recognition events, awards, and other initiatives.
• Implements and manages continuous listening approaches to gather feedback from employees, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Analyzes data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for enhancing the employee experience.
• Develops action plans in response to feedback and works with leaders and HR partners to implement changes.
• Develops metrics and KPIs to measure employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall experience.
• Regularly reports on employee experience metrics and benchmarks against industry standards to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborates with colleagues in Employee Experience and other HR departments to align initiatives with overall Interior Health goals and strategic priorities.
• Communicates effectively with employees at all levels to promote understanding and engagement with employee experience initiatives.
• Stays current with industry trends and best practices in employee experience, recognition, and appreciation.
• Proactively seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in employee experience initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience
• An undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience in employee experience, engagement, organizational development, or other related field. Previous experience working in a large, complex, unionized environment is an asset.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing employee experience related programs and initiatives.
• Experience in data analysis, including qualitative and quantitative data, and translating findings into actionable outcomes.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to develop and implement sustainable strategies and initiatives that align with organizational values and strategic priorities, with a focus on creating positive and inclusive workplace experiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to improve the employee experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with leaders and employees across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and engage diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to identify trends and insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience with planning, organizing, and executing events and programs.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams and projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in HR and other departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
