We invite you to join our team as a Community Activity Worker in the beautiful city of Kelowna, nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley-a region renowned for its stunning landscapes and vibrant communities.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Activity Worker to join our dynamic team in Kelowna! This is a permanent part-time position (0.58FTE) with day shifts scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Your Role:
In this role, you will play a vital part in implementing established activities to meet clients’ activation, life skills, recreational, and social needs, fostering their overall social, physical, and emotional well-being. The position involves assisting clients with activities of daily living, promoting independence, and encouraging their participation in various activities. As a valued team member, you'll have the opportunity to adapt and modify activities to cater to the special needs of clients, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.

Qualfications
• Grade 12 plus and at a minimum graduation from an Activity/Recreation program; or an equivalent combination of current education, training and experience.
• One year recent related experience in an Adult Day Programs (which includes experience in recreation/activation).
