Position Summary
We are currently seeking a casual Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our Youth Intensive Case Management (YICM) team at the Community Health & Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

What will you work on?
Part of the Youth Intensive Case Management Team is an interdisciplinary team that provides case management in accordance with the guidelines for high-risk youth problematic substance use, concurrent disorders and/or mental illness. Previous experience working directly with youth and community MHSU is required.
The Community Mental Health Worker 2 functions as a part of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) health care team and as a member of a specific Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary specialized team whose purpose is to ensure that persons with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders have access to timely, responsive, evidence based psychosocial rehabilitation across the continuum of available services.
Scheduling Information:
Shifts of work are days and shift times are from 09:00 to 17:00 hours. Likely 2-4 shifts per week will be available. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Grade 12
• Diploma in a field relevant to the position
• Two years recent related experience working with the assigned client population(s) experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid B.C. Driver’s License
