Salary range for the position is $67,861 to $97,550. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you create an impact:

The Coordinator, Agency works in partnership across the organization to lead, cultivate and facilitate a range of activities related to external agency personnel deployment. The Coordinator is responsible for engaging with managers across the organization to assess vacancy and staffing requirements and works with agency partners to meet the identified needs in a way that triages the effective utilization of resources within the health authority. The incumbent supports the coordination and implementation of the departmental initiatives related to the deployment of external personnel to health authority facilities. The Coordinator has a key role in developing implementation plans for the initiatives above by gathering data, determining priorities, planning, setting deadlines and ensuring targets are met.

The incumbent will provide input on new policies, recommendations for process improvement and service delivery initiatives related to the deployment to external personnel from agencies. This position is responsible for making recommendations regarding agency contract management as well as coordinating and monitoring the processes of agency contracts to ensure compliance. The incumbent will research complex problems and develop recommendations for resolution. Liaises with external carriers, other employers, regulatory bodies, and government agencies as required to share information, clarify discrepancies, resolve problems and deal with employee concerns.

What will you work on:

• Supports the development of process and procedures specific to the implementation of the agency coordination department.
• Collaborates with the Manager, and internal operational leaders to strategically triage and utilize external personnel to fill prioritized vacancies to maintain service delivery.
• Acts as resource, support and liaison between managers and external staffing agencies for securing available external personnel to fill vacancies.
• In partnership with staffing services, creates standardized processes for tracking external personnel within Interior Health scheduling and timekeeping systems. Acts as a point of contact in the interpretation of processes and the application of collective agreement provisions to staffing processes, where required.
• Reviews invoices, ensuring accuracy of hours worked, rates, and additional charges. Collaborates with the team to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies with external partners.
• Reviews agency contracts for compliance and ensures all receipts for additional charges are appropriate.
• Documents and clearly communicates deployment decisions to interested parties.
• Works with the External Workforce Coordination team to plan, coordinate and conduct the data collection activities to support effective program management.
• Ensures clarity of roles and responsibilities, adherence to standards of quality, and effective and timely service delivery.
• Plans and oversees internal control audits, validation reports and consults Interior Health corporate teams when required.
• Represents Interior Health on Provincial meetings as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant discipline plus three (3) to five (5) years of recent related health care experience in a large, complex unionized environment.
• 3 years working in contract management or staff scheduling in a large, complex, unionized health care environment.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
