Position Summary
Kelowna Warehouse has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Digital Citizen Support Clerk to join their team in Kelowna, B.C.!

Hours of work are: rotating days - 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 11:00 to 19:00
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.

What Will You Work On?
This position provides direct citizen support for Interior Health’s digital tools including, but not limited to:
• MyHealthPortal, a patient portal application which enables citizen’s direct access to their electronic health record and provides various virtual functionalities;
• Patient online booking tools, which allows citizens to book and manage an appointment online for various support areas;
• Technologies and applications that support virtual care services, such as Zoom

Typical Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Provides direct support for MyHealthPortal by performing duties such as: citizen enrolment, manage access, basic troubleshooting, respond to telephone and email support inquiries, and escalate advanced support requests to System Analysts (or other designated personnel) as required.
• Provides direct support for online patient booking tools, by performing duties such as: book an appointment, modify/cancel an appointment, account maintenance, basic troubleshooting, respond to telephone and email support inquiries, and escalating advanced support requests to System Analysts (or other designated personnel) as required.
• Provides direct citizen support and basic level technical troubleshooting for technologies and applications that support virtual care services, escalating advanced support issues to System Analysts (or other designated personnel) as required.
• In accordance with established privacy and security policies, grants patients access to their electronic health information appropriately, based on established identity check procedures, and collaborating with Health Records department, when required.
• Identifies anomalies in the electronic patient record (such as duplicate accounts, possible identity misuse/theft, etc.) through regular pre-established routines, and refers to the attention of the Manager (or designate). Performs additional follow up as directed.
• Calculates and reports statistical information related to the tracking of support provided, such as the support type, time spent, and general citizen demographics.
• Assists with continued promotion of Interior Health digital tools, which may include participation on various committees or attendance at local community events.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement activities by performing duties such as reviewing support materials and providing input/feedback to the Manager (or designate) on work procedures and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assists with orienting new staff by performing duties such as demonstrating work procedures, demonstrating use of equipment and providing related information.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualfications
Education, Training & Experience:
• Grade 12,
• Two years’ recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Completion of an administered 5 minute typing certificate of 45wpm in the last 48 months from an approved institution (non-supervised tests are not accepted).

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
